We will hold a physical fitness meeting on February 11, 2025. Scouts are expected to wear appropriate clothing for outdoor physical activity and bring any extra supplies needed (water, sports drinks, deodorant, snacks).
We will hold a regular meeting on March 4, 2025. Current scouts are expected to show up in Class A uniform. We will be learning about different aspects of Scouting in rotating stations.

On March 21 and 22, the Louisiana Purchase Council will be holding the annual Spring Cub-O-Ree at Camp Attakapas. Troop 8 will arrive on Friday evening to camp out as a troop. On Saturday we will help the council with anything they need for Cub-O-Ree, including setting up, running games, giving directions, and cleaning up. […]

Love the Boot Week is Louisiana’s largest litter removal and beautification effort, with events in all 64 parishes. Summer Camp is the flagship scouting experience. Scouts will spend a week at Camp Attakapas in Trout, Louisiana, and have the opportunity to earn up to five merit badges. Scouts will be assisting Chason Hernandez in completing his Eagle Scout service project at Mary Goff Elementary. This project will consist of building a path. Scouts are encouraged to bring shovels or other hand tools.
