DESCRIPTION:This year\, National Wreaths Across America Day will be held on Saturday\, December 13\, 2025. Troop 8 joins the more than two million volunteers and supporters who will gather to Remember\, Honor and Teach at more than 5\,200 participating locations. Our local cemetery is the Alexandria National Cemetery in Pineville\, Louisiana. This is a wonderful opportunity for youth to engage in community service and learn about the sacrifices of those before us.

DESCRIPTION:Klondike is a fun camping opportunity for all troops within the Louisiana Purchase Council! Troops camp out and compete in various games\, developing skills like knot-tying and fire-building\, and cooking. Klondike is also a great opportunity for team-building within and outside of the troop. The games culminate in a troop dogsled race and scouts will be challenged to demonstrate the knowledge that they have gained through the weekend.
